Bergenfield Hosts Seminar on Grants to Remove Residential and Commercial Underground Storage Tanks

On Thursday night, October 7th, 2010 at 7 pm, the Borough of Bergenfield will be hosting a seminar in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Borough Hall, 198 North Washington Ave. on how to obtain New Jersey State grant funds for the removal of leaking residential and commercial heating oil underground storage tanks (USTs). The seminar is open to both residents and non-residents, and it will be presented by EXCEL Environmental Resources Inc., of North Brunswick.

Millions of New Jersey residents get their drinking water from aquifers that are vulnerable to pollution from leaking underground storage heating oil tanks. The State of New Jersey wants to make sure your underground tank is not contributing to the polluting of the our aquifers by making grant funds available to residential and commercial property owners for the removal of these tanks. Currently, funding is available that will pay for up to 100% of the cost of remediation and replacement of leaking underground heating oil storage tanks. EXCEL Environmental Resources Inc., has obtained hundreds of these tank removal grants and has helped homeowners and businesses resolve heating oil issues at virtually no cost.

Residential property owners seeking to qualify for a State UST Grant must have a taxable income of less than $250,000 and a personal net worth (not counting primary residence and retirement accounts) of less than $500,000.
Commercial property owners seeking to qualify for a State UST Grant, must have a business net operating income of less than $250,000, the net worth of the business must be less than $3,000,000 and the business applicant’s net worth (not counting primary residence and retirement accounts) must be less than $500,000.

If you own a home or business that has an underground storage tank please come to this free seminar to see if you qualify for one of these grants.
