FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map and Flood Insurance Study

FEMA has provided the Borough with a copy of the revised preliminary copies of the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for review and comment. No new flood hazard information has been presented in the FIRM panels and FIS report for Bergenfield. However, since Bergenfield is geographically located on one or more of the revised map panels, FEMA will continue to share information at key processing stages during the map update. Digital copies of the revised FIRM and FIS report materials can be found at https://msc.fema.gov/portal. Please note, the Bergenfield map number is 34003C0192J.

Last Day to Register to Vote - Tuesday, May 16th

Please be advised, the deadline to register to vote in the June primary election is Tuesday, May 16th. The Borough Clerk's office will be participating in Late Night Voter Registration, and remain open until 9:00 p.m., to provide residents the opportunity to register to vote. The Borough Clerk's office is located in the second floor of Borough Hall, Room 21. Please feel free to visit us to submit or complete your voter registration form. Free skin cancer screening - June 14, 2017

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States with about one million new cases diagnosed each year. Fortunately, most skin cancers, including melanoma, can be cured if detected early. The Bergenfield Health Department is sponsoring a free Skin Cancer Screening Program to promote early detection and prompt treatment of skin cancer. The screening is for Bergenfield residents, 18 years and older. A practitioner from the Advanced Laser & Skin Cancer Center of Teaneck will conduct the screening. The screening clinic will be conducted at Bergenfield Borough Hall, 2nd floor, 198 North Washington Avenue. Please call the Health Department at 201-387-4055 option 5, to schedule an appointment. Date of screenings: Wednesday June 14th, 2017 between the hours of 10am till 12pm. Please note that this screening is for Bergenfield residents not currently under the care of a dermatologist.
