BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Borough residents are invited to join members of the community and the Bergenfield Stigma-Free Committee for a mental health awareness event this Sunday at 11am at Veterans Memorial Park. All residents are welcome at the event and are encouraged to join.

“Mental health is extremely important and especially after the isolation that we faced as a result of COVID, it is critical that we take it seriously,” said Mayor Amatorio. “We are focused on all aspects of health as we come out of the pandemic, including both our physical and mental health. Please join us for this event where we will have open conversations about such an important topic.”

“As we come out of the COVID-19 health crisis it is critical that we deal with the mental health impacts that the last year has had on our community,” said Councilman and Liaison to the Stigma-Free Committee Tom Lodato. “Nobody in Bergenfield should feel alone in their battle with mental health and that is why we are holding this event on Sunday, so that we can have honest and open conversations about these issues.”

Attendees can connect with other members of the community and will have an opportunity to win prizes.
