Bergenfield to Distribute Turkeys to Families in Need Saturday From 10am-2pm

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- The Borough will distribute 100 turkeys to families in need this Saturday between 10am-2pm at the Bergenfield Food Pantry located at 198 N. Washington Ave. The turkeys were graciously donated by the Inserra Shop Rite in collaboration with the Bergen County Food Task Force.

Turkeys will be given away on a first come first serve basis to those in need. On behalf of the Mayor & Council, wishing everyone a safe and healthy Holiday season. 

Bergenfield Delivers Food to the Senior Center

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Each week through the help of Feed the Front Lines and the Bergen County Food Task Force, the Borough distributes 135 meals to seniors at the senior center. Today, Mayor Amatorio was joined by Congressman Josh Gottheimer and his son Ben, as well as Councilmen Thomas Lodato, Marc Pascual and Buddy Deauna.

Bergenfield Holds Ribbon Cutting for Next Generation Pediatric Urgent Care Center 

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Mayor Amatorio and members of the Borough Council held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Next Generation Pediatric Urgent Care Center. This is a state-of-the-art facility located at 481 S Washington Ave. in the Foster Village Shopping Center. 

 

“I am thrilled that Next Generation Pediatric Urgent Care Center has chosen Bergenfield to put their new business,” said Mayor Amatorio. “Dr. Laddis and his team will undoubtedly do great work in our Borough and help countless children. I wish them nothing but the best with their journey.”

 

Dr. Dmitri Laddis opens this center with over a decade of experience in the field of pediatrics and has worked in a multitude of pediatric settings over his career. Dr. Laddis and his pediatric partners plan to make the center child-focused, family-friendly, luxuriously spacious with a contemporary aesthetic and a great place to work for its staff.

Brookside Gardens Senior Citizens Receive Turkey and Boxes of Fresh Food in Time for Thanksgiving 

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Today, the Borough delivered turkey and boxes of fresh food just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Borough has worked hard to continuously bring meals to Bergenfield seniors, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

“Our seniors are a critical part of our community and we look forward to any opportunity we have to visit them and provide them with fresh food,” said Mayor Amatorio. “In addition to providing food for our seniors this Thanksgiving, we will be giving away free turkeys to Bergenfield families in need this Saturday to ensure that everyone has a wonderful holiday.”
