Garbage Pickup for Monday February 2nd Cancelled Due to Impending Snow

Due to the impending snow storm expected to arrive late-tonight and continuing into tomorrow, Monday February 2nd. garbage pickup in the 2nd and 4th quadrants is cancelled. The next garbage pickup in those two quandrants (Northwest & Southwest) will be on Thursday as regularly scheduled.Paper recyclables will be picked up in the 1st Quadrant (Northeast) as scheduled.

DPW Garbage & Recycling - Updated Schedule

Due to the expected snow storm, the following changes have been made to the garbage and recycling schedule:

TODAY - Monday, January 26, 2015
Garbage and Recycling will be picked up.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2015
Garbage and Recycling CANCELLED.

Wednesday, January 28, 2015
Bulk pick-up is POSTPONED until next Wednesday, February 4th.

Borough Hall - Holiday Schedule

Borough hall offices will be closing early on Christmas Eve, and will remain closed on Christmas day.  Offices will re-open on Friday, December 26th.  Please see below for specific hours:

Wednesday, December 24th: 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, December 25th: Closed

Friday, December 26th: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

2015 Little League Sign-Ups

Registrations for Little League are scheduled to take place at Hickory Field on the following dates:

Thursday, January 15th  - 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Friday, January 16th  - 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 17th - 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Final Leaf Pick-up: Friday, December 19th

Starting Friday, December 19th, DPW will have crews working in the following areas:

  • W. Clinton Ave. going South towards New Bridge Rd.
  • Phelps Ave. going North towards New Jersey Ave.
* Please note, this will be the last pick-up for leaf collection.

Final Leaf Collection Program: Starting Monday, DPW will begin to finalize the leaf collection program.  Saturday, December 13th is the deadline to put out leaves.  Make sure to pile your leaves in preparation for the final pick-up.  If you use a landscaping company, please coordinate accordingly.  After DPW has picked-up leaves in your neighborhood, residents will no longer be able to dump leaves in the street.  Once areas are cleaned, DPW will not return to pick-up again.  Please make sure to sign up for Nixle and check our website for updates and leaf collection schedules for specific areas. 

Leaf Collection on Monday, 11/17/14

Starting on Monday, November 17th, the Department of Public Works will clean-up leaves in the following areas:

Westside of town - Between Prospect Ave. and New Milford Border going South from Hartcourt Ave. past High School.

Eastside of town - Starting on Smith St., O'Neil St. East to Tenafly, North to E. Clinton.
