BERGENFIELD, NJ, November 27, 2023 — The Borough of Bergenfield proudly congratulates the Bergenfield Junior Football & Cheer (Senior Division) team for their remarkable victory in the championship game against Lodi this past Saturday, November 25th.
In a thrilling competition that underscored the team's commitment, skill, and sportsmanship, the young athletes triumphed with a decisive 20-0 win. This achievement marks a significant milestone - the first time in many years that the Bergenfield Junior Football team has claimed the Bi County Junior Scholastic Championship.
"We are incredibly proud of our young athletes for this outstanding achievement," said Mayor Arvin Amatorio. "Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork have paid off, and this victory is well-deserved. They have brought honor to our community and set a fantastic example for the younger divisions.
