Mayors Healthy Living Challenge kicks off on April 3, 2016

The 2016 Wellness Challenge is a free, town-wide challenge for Bergenfield residents age 18 and older. The Challenge is an 8-week program which includes free workshops, exercise class & fitness trials; weekly weigh-ins; health & fitness guidance; and raffles & prizes.

Kick Off: April 3, 2016, 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Green Fair on April 15, 2016 seeking vendors

The Borough of Bergenfield and Bergenfield High School are hosting a Green Fair on Friday, April 15, 2016 in the Bergenfield High School at 80 South Prospect Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ. The event will run from 9 am to 1 pm and there is no cost to participants. Setup will begin at 8 am.

The purpose for the fair is to raise awareness of the environmental activities that are part of our everyday lives and to recognize those businesses and organizations that contribute to improving the environment. The event will provide an opportunity for businesses and organizations to share their environmental accomplishments.

We ask that you join us at the Green Fair. We will provide a table for your setup. You can tell your story and answer question about what you are doing in your business or organization, what you are buying and /or what you selling. Whatever your story, it will add value to the event.

This Green Fair will assist the Borough of Bergenfield and Bergenfield High School to earn points toward Sustainable Jersey Certification. The event will be managed and coordinated by an Eagle Scout candidate as a service project for both the town and school. ADVISORY: Snow Emergency Lifted

The snow emergency declared on January 23, 2016 was lifted on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Overnight parking within the Borough will still be prohibited. Please be courteous and try to park on one side of the street only to allow for free passage of emergency and non-emergency vehicles. Please remember to remove ice and snow from vehicles before traveling and do not shovel snow into the roadways.
