Recycling Center Hours

Please note that the Borough's Recycling Center, located behind Borough Hall and the DPW building, will be open tomorrow from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM.  It will also be open on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Donations for the Philippines

If you wish to make a donation to assist in the recovery efforts in the Philippines, you can provide your donation to the Amercian Red Cross Typhoon Appeal at www.redcross.org.

Various local efforts are also being coordinated at this time.  Monetary donations are currently being accepted by St. John the Evangelist Church, located at 29 N. Washington Avenue in Bergenfield.  Please make checks payable to St. John the Evangelist Church and write Philippine Relief on the memo line.

Bergenfield 1st Annual Turkey Day Fun Run - Saturday, November 23, 2013

Bergenfield 5KThe Bergenfield 1st Annual Turkey Trot will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.; Bergenfield High School Track, 80 South Prospect Avenue. The event is open to runners, walkers, and dogs are welcome, too! T-shirts for the first 100 people to register at turkeydayfunrun.eventbrite.com.

Each participant must donate one non-perishable canned good. All goods will be donated to the Red Cross. The more non-perishable goods you bring gets you more raffle tickets for raffle prizes!

PROPERTY TAXES

Please be advised that the Tax Office will be open from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2013.

The grace period for the 4th quarter has been extended to November 12, 2013.

FREE HAZARDOUS WASTE DROP OFF

Free hazardous waste drop off on Saturday, October 20, 2013 from 9 AM to 3 PM (rain or shine) at Bergen Community College, off of Paramus Rd.  Vast array of items accepted such as paints, disinfectants, fertilizers, gasoline, herbicides., oil filters, motor oil etc.  For list of acceptable items go to www.bcua.org or call Barry Doll at 201-663-1571.  A great way to safely get rid of pollutants and help save the environment.
