PSE&G is making progress restoring power to customers affected by yesterday’s hurricane, which is the worst in the company’s history in terms of outages. Electricity is back on for more than 512,000 customers, while work continues to restore about 188,000 customers statewide. The company expects restoration of all customers within the next 4 to 6 days.

Power outage update: Monday, August 29, 9:08AM

image of hurricaneAlert: Bergenfield area one of largest in Bergen County without power

Bergenfield has an estimated 5,000 - 10,000 people without power. We are one of the largest areas without power in Bergen County. PSE&G is working on the outage. Please call PSER&G directly for outages and outage information.

Do not call the police unless you have an emergency. Calling for outage information will overload the phones at the police department and may interfere with someone getting emergency help.

Additional updates will follow as information becomes available.
