BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Following the tragic death of Bergenfield resident Donny Morris, who was in Israel celebrating the jewish holiday Lag BaOmer, Bergenfield Mayor Arvin Amatorio has released the following statement:
“The entire Borough of Bergenfield mourns the loss of Donny Morris, who was sadly killed while celebrating Lag BaOmer in Israel. My heart breaks for the young man that lost his life on Friday as well as for the families of all of the victims. No parent should ever have to bury their child and I would like for the family of Donny to know that our community is behind them. At just 18 years old, Donny was just beginning his life and it is a tragedy that it was abruptly cut short.”
