Bergen County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) & the Hurricane Sandy Long Term Recovery Committee (LTRC) operate the Storm Recovery Information Center at the Moonachie First Presbyterian Chuech, 221 Moonachie road, Moonachie. A network of voluntary organizations is ready to help Bergen County residents with Hurricane Sandy recovery needs. How it works: Visit the Recovery Information Center during business hours to do an intake. You will be assigned a case manager who will asses your needs and provide you with information and help you access storm recovery resources.
Who is eligible for help: Bergen County residents affected by Hurricane Sandy. Services are provided on a case-by-case basis and may vary depending on need and available resources. Renters, Homeowners, Small Business owners and Landloards (up to 4 units) are eligible for assistance.
