Mayor Amatorio and Borough Council Present Plaques to those that Assist with Bergenfield Food Pantry

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Mayor Amatorio and the Borough Council presented those that assist with the Bergenfield Food Pantry with plaques this week as part of Hunger Action Month. The Bergenfield Food Pantry has assisted residents throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and has been essential for members throughout the community.

“Through no fault of their own, many residents of Bergenfield found themselves without the resources to purchase food for their families as a result of the COVID-19 crisis,” said Mayor Amatorio. “The Bergenfield Food Pantry and those that assist us to make it possible, have helped our community through a difficult year and a half and are continuing to play an essential role for so many.”

“All races, ethnicities and religions have worked together to ensure that no Bergenfield family goes hungry,” said Councilman Hernando Rivera. “We live in a special community in which we come together and help each other when we need it the most and I am so grateful to all of our tremendous people involved with the Food Pantry.”

The Bergenfield Food Pantry is open Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm by appointment. Please call 201-387-4055 ext. 6 if you would like to make an appointment.
