The Borough, with the assistance from the Board of Education is opening a warming station at Roy W. Brown Middle School on S. Washington Ave. from 5 pm Saturday afternoon to 6 am Monday morning. Residents without power can go to the Middle School to warm up and to charge their various electronic devices. This is not intended as shelter.
For residents who need overnight accommodations due to a lack of power/heat, a shelter has been established at the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute in Mahwah. Those who need to make use of this shelter facility are encouraged to take their own transportation to that location as the Borough has an extremely limited amount of fuel. For those who cannot utilize their own transportation to get to the shelter facility, please call the Police department as soon as possible and we will attempt to arrange transportation for you.
