Bergenfield garbage pickup in 2nd & 4th Quadrants and 3rd Quadrant paper pickup cancelled due to snow storm

image of snow on treesThe impending snow storm has forced the cancellation of garbage pickup in Bergenfield's 2nd & 4th quadrants. 3rd Quadrant Paper pickup is also cancelled.

Residents are reminded that all vehicles must be removed from borough streets to facilitate snow removal by the Dept. of Public Works. Vehicles parked on the street will be ticketed and towed by the police department.

Residents are also reminded not to throw snow into the streets. Throwing snow into the street hampers snow removal and endangers vehicluar traffic. Thank you for your cooperation.

Bergenfield Bulk Pickup in Quadrant 2 (Northwest) postponed from Wednesday to Thursday due to impending Winter Storm

image of snow on treesBulk pickup scheduled for Wednesday, January 12th in Quadrant 2 (Northwest) has been postponed until Thursday January 13th due to the impending snow storm.

According to the National Weather Service snow is expected to start to fall this evening (1/11), continue overnight and throughout most of Wednesday (1/12) with the heaviest snow fall between midnight and noon on Wednesday. Total accumulations are now predicted to be in the 7-10 inch range. Expected wind gusts up to-25 mph may produce near blizzard conditions.

Do not place bulk pick up items at the curb until after 6 pm on Wednesday night, January 12th.
